The Cleveland Department of Public Health needs your help!


After a disaster, emergency services may be strained. Help is needed from people like you to make sure our communities are ready for any emergency. Get involved now as a volunteer and you can be ready to join in the response and help your neighbors. We will provide the training opportunities and resources to get you started and keep you engaged. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

To get started, please fill out the Volunteer Registration Form  or contact the Cleveland Department of Public Health – Office of Emergency Preparedness at 216-664-4135 for more information.

The flu is a contagious respiratory illness that is caused by more than one type of influenza virus strains. The flu can cause mild to severe illnesses in individuals and in some cases can lead to death.
