Vector Borne Disease

A vector is an organism, such as a mosquito or tick, which can carry disease-causing microorganisms from infected individuals to other persons or from infected animals to human beings.

The Division of Environments aim is to control and prevent the spread of insects, rodents, or other organisms which are able to transmit infectious agents of disease.

Vector borne diseases are all preventable and yet are fatal if left untreated.
