There is a direct connection between climate change and the health of our community. Yet few Americans are aware of the very real consequences of climate change on the health of our communities, our families and our children.
As part of a nationwide commemoration, National Public Health Week (NPHW) events in Cleveland focus on everyday changes that all Clevelanders can make to impact the health of their bodies and the health of our planet, including:
• Grow food, not lawns • Be prepared for extreme weather • Go green at work • Turn off your car - Idling gets you nowhere • Keep water clean - Water and your world
Take the National Public Health Week Healthy Climate Pledge and let us know what small step you will take to protect your health and the health of our planet!
Cleveland is just one of many communities across the country commemorating National Public Health Week. It is organized nationally by the American Public Health Association (APHA). Learn more about climate change and public health at the national website: www.nphw.org.
CDPH supports the community and is available for free trainings, health screenings services, and program materials.
