Natural Disasters
Natural disasters are extreme and unexpected events caused by environmental factors that cause injury to people and damage property. Natural disasters can happen anywhere on earth, most of the time without warning. Floods, snow storms, earthquake, hurricanes and tornados are just a few that have happened around the world throughout history.

Natural disasters affect thousands of people every year. You should be aware of what your risks are and prepare to protect yourself, your family and community. Knowing how to approach a hazard and knowing what to do to safeguard you and your family will help you take the steps to prepare before and after the disaster.
